| Tuesday, June 24, 2008 - Spring 08 Playoffs |  | Since we swapped over to the Fall season on the home page earlier than I requested, here is the playoff info.
Peewee Division: Flaming Flamingos play Hurricanes in the second game of their 2 game championship series on June 24 at 5:15 in arena 2. Flamingos carry a 7 - 2 advantage from game 1. Cobras lead Hallmark Promotions 9 - 4 in the Consolation series. Peewee Gretzky Trophy winner is Zack Burns with 32 assists. Top assists for Hurricanes was Spencer Kornum with 30, for Hallmark Promotions, Jordan Both with 23, and for Cobras, Andres Lazar with 19 assists. Jerseys are to be returned June 24 after the game and deposits will be returned.
Atom Division: Atom Gretzky Trophy winner for spring 07 is Dylan Both of Trail Blazers with 19. Also for Trail Blazers were Micah Karreman wiht 14 and Ellie Kendall with 11. Assist leaders for Flyers were Noah Pointras and Ryan Halliday with 11, and Noah Vanderwatt with 10.
Bronze Division: Championship game is June 24 with semifinal winners CWC and Gidney signs competing in a 1 game final. Gypsies and Bronze compete in the Consolation game. Bronze Gretzky Trophy winner is Brandon Daase, captain of CWC with 38 assists. Brandon was the Gretzky winner when he last played in peewee division. The other CWC player with high assists was Myles Karpiuk with 31. Kaeden Teindl with 30 assists led Gidney Signs. Tyler Pauls and Steven Pauls led Bronze 1 with 28 assists each, and Braydyn Vanderveen led Gypsies with 19.
Silver Division: Flyers won the regular season. Their opponent in the final will depend on who wins between Chilliwack Jets and King Hoe Krunch in the 3rd round of their semifinal series. Agassiz Cornhuskers will play either Jets or KHK in the consolation game on June 26. Silver Gretzky Trophy winner for spring 2008 was Shane Boes, who often set up his linemate and leading scorer, Martin Vanderwell, for 42 assists. Also with high assists from Flyers were Jason Thalen with 41 and Martin Vanderwel with 38. Leading in assists for KHK was Braeden Pauls with 23, for Jets was James White with 22 and for Agassiz Cornhuskers was Matt Hanson with 17.
