| | Thursday, June 18, 2009 - Used Inline Gear | | | No Sweat, a Used Sporting Goods store at 45738 Railway has a good selection of used inline skates, shin pads, elbow pads, gloves, helmets and much more. Manager, Dionne Bradwell, is open to all kinds of arrangements to help keep players in gear at a reasonable cost. One example would be to buy some skates, keep them in good shape and trade them in when the player outgrows the skates. No Sweat also cleans & sanitizes athletic gear. |
| | Wednesday, May 20, 2009 - Atom and Peewee games CANCELLED May 21 | | Atom and Peewee games are cancelled for Thursday, May 21. The Bronze game has been moved to Twin Rinks and will be played at 5:45. This cancellation was made by the District Recreation Director who bumped us out to allow another user to rent the facility with a one day notice. My apologies to all who are affected. I will do my best to make this time up, probably by extending the Thursday night sessions. Given that this is last minute, I will try to phone and leave messages on answering machines as well as send out email notice. Dan |
| | Thursday, May 14, 2009 - Soccer News | | There will be no soccer game outdoors this Saturday, May 16, at 10 am at Sardis Secondary due to the long weekend and many players away. For those who haven’t heard, we have pulled the pin on our Chilliwack over 60’s team. The indoor soccer season will end at the end of May, but I’d like to continue the weekly Saturday games. Let me know if you are interested in playing Saturday mornings. Those really keen to play in the senior games should let me know as I am exploring other options, such as combining with another partial team. I have applied to the District of Chilliwack for time in the fall and winter to run a intergenerational soccer league combining youth 10 - 14 and seniors over 60. Let me know if this interests you. Games would most likely be Wednesday late afternoon or early evenings.
